When I first found out I was pregnant I was well along into my second trimester and I was not prepared at all. So, my husband and I began making a list of all the things we needed to start getting and what would most likely be gifted at our baby shower. Then the topic of the Diaper Bag came up and as I had picked everything else I agreed in letting him chose the diaper bag... total mistake. Of course he went out and bought the most simple and plain bags in order for it not to clash with his manliness, and may I say the bag was massive.
As time went along I became more of the stay at home mom and was juggling all that I could. With going to school after going out to the in laws, I maintained the necessities for our baby in my purse (which was overrun by bottles and pampers) until he decided to buy me my own diaper bag, set for every occasion. So I sat on my laptop all night going through reviews and price of course and was set between the JJ Cole Caprice and the Skip Hop Chelsea.
Both beautifully stylish and not to bad on price (Caprice $69.99 and Chelsea $99.99 BuyBuyBaby.com). So, we went to see them the next day and I could not find which one I liked most, Chelsea had plenty of pocket space along with the stylish everyday everywhere look but for some reason I liked the Caprice for its fabric. I love the design and knowing I could always use it as a simple purse. It has enough pockets to get yourself organized without over doing it, with two on each side. It comes with a changing pad and straps to hang onto your stroller. My favorite is the front lower pocket, a easy to get to wallet so you won't have to rummage through your bag to find it under all the chaos. I also bought a wipe clutch by K Quin Designs ($12.99 Buybuybaby.com) and a Vera Bradley Bottle Cady ($17.99 buybuybaby.com) to match my cross body purse.
My husband also loves my new bag, he calls it my everything bag, filled with baby clothes, toys and all things needed when out with the family to a filled book bag for class. Also, he loves that when I ask him to get something for me he knows exactly where it is and it is easy to get to.
All in all, this is my go to bag, but I will certainly be trying the Chelsea bag very soon and compare both at greater depth.
